"White Knuckle Racing Rises Again!"
White Knuckle Racing PR-Round Rock , TX.
Since the early part of the 2006 season White Knuckle Racing (a local Stock
Car Racing team) has not been represented in the state of Texas. What was once a winning team week in and week out, had some
season ending stuggles after just two races in 2006.
In 1996 White Knuckle Racing consisted of three guys set out to have fun
and a 1978 Buick Regal sedan that caught the eyes of all competitors. Charles Buxton was the rookie driver in the Hobby Stock
division at Longhorn Speedway. He started out the season a little slow, but by midway was a championship contender. By years
end he would earn "Rookie of the Year" honors and missed winning the championship by just one point to Shawn Paul Lehman.
Success came and went in the Street Stock division at Longhorn Speedway and Thunderhill Raceway the next few years. With top
5 finsihes in the season ending point standings two of three years they deciced in 2000 to move up to Late Models.
From the start of the 2000 season they stuggled with Late Models and TSRS (Texas Super Racing Series) and the team decided
to close shop and sell most of their racing related items in mid-season 2006. A decision to run a Hobby
Stock in 2007 at Thunderhill Raceway by Charles' little brother prompted the rise of White Knuckle Racing once again. With
the help of Gural Racing Engines, Terry's Body Shop and two original members of the
team (Charles Buxton and Crew Chief Bryan Lane) look out for this motivated rookie driver as he tries to get a win
and most important some good ol'e seat time.
